Chevy Tahoe Sales Jump 21.7 Percent To 11,897 Units In December 2016

Chevrolet Tahoe deliveries in the United States totaled 11,897 units in December 2016, an increase of 21.7 percent compared to the 9,773 units sold in December 2015. During the 2016 calendar year, Tahoe sales increased 17 percent to 103,306 units.

In Canada, the Tahoe recorded 138 deliveries in December 2016, a decrease of 44 percent compared to December 2015. During the 2016 calendar year, Tahoe sales increased 29.5 percent to 3,062 units.

Consumers’ love affair with SUVs and CUVs continues, as these sales figures clearly demonstrate. The circumstance is a net positive for General Motors, since the Tahoe — along with other variants based on GM’s K2 platform — are highly profitable and contribute significantly to the automaker’s bottom line.

Total capacity at Arlington, Texas is around 370,000 units per year, For Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Escalade.
This factory has been running at near 100% for a number of years.
Some of these also get exported to other locations besides Canada.
For 2018 we should see style updates for at least the exteriors.
I wish the Tahoe would have a front end more like the new Silverado. I think it would look great.

This is true. However, export volume outside North American is extremely small.
PS: the reason that we only report U.S. and Canada figures is due to those being the only two geo divisions that consistently provide sales figures.
Still waiting on Tahoe High Country…and for $70,000 give me some real wood inserts, dammit.
