This isn’t as common of a sight as we would like to see. Here we have a Cadillac ATS-V equipped with the HPE550 package from Hennessey Performance.
Baseline numbers for the twin-turbo 3.6L LF4 V6 were 372.7 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. After receiving the HPE enhancements, the power output shot up to 452.9 horsepower and 432.9 lb-ft of torque. Again, to the rear wheels.
The HPE550 package includes the following components:
• HPE Engine Management Calibration
• Stainless Axle-Back Exhaust System
• High-Flow Air Filters
• Dyno Tuning & Road Testing
• Hennessey & HPE550 Exterior Badging
If you order the parts online and install them yourself, the price is $3,995 plus shipping. If you’d like Hennessey to handle everything, the cost is $5,995 plus vehicle shipping. For ATS-V owners, this isn’t too much coin for the gain.
Hit play to hear the ATS-V on the dyno, and have Jason Hanes, Senior Calibration Engineer at HPE, explain the before and after differences in greater detail.
Comment
After spending $60K for a Cadillac ATS-V; spending another $4-6K to get over 100 horsepower more sounds like a bargain and almost something Cadillac’s President Johan de Nysschen should consider licensing so that every Cadillac LF4 twin-turbo 3.6L DOHC-4v V6 would be capable of this increased level of performance.
