Buick Verano deliveries in the United States totaled 1,038 units in December 2016, a decrease of 59 percent compared to the 2,545 units sold in December 2015. During the 2016 calendar year, Verano sales dropped 5 percent to 30,277 units.

In Canada, the Verano recorded 308 deliveries in December 2016, a decrease of 27.4 percent compared to December 2015. During the 2016 calendar year, Verano sales in Canada increased 13.9 percent to 7,244 units.

The GM Authority Take
2017 represents the last model year of the Verano in the North American markets of Canada, United States, and Mexico, as Buick seems to be planning to discontinue the model in North America. Meanwhile, the brand is launching an all-new, second-generation Verano in China.
However, in September of 2016, a high-performance GS model of the second-generation Verano hatchback was spotted undergoing testing at GM’s Milford Proving Grounds. The development casts hope that the second-gen Verano will make its way to North America at some point in the not-too-distant future.
