Having already teased the floating roofline, exhaust outlet and turbo engine, as well as the headlight design of the 2018 GMC Terrain crossover, GMC has provided another teaser image of its newest vehicle. The new teaser is of the interior, showing a center console with what appears to be a cutout for the cupholder(s) on the top section and a floating-style opening, likely for a storage space, beneath it.
According to official GMC social media channels, the brand will pull the sheet off the 2018 Terrain at 6:45 PM Eastern Time. Stay tuned to GM Authority for live coverage of the unveiling.

guess it will be using the same shifter as the LaCrosse
I don’t see a reason why all vehicles won’t use the digital shifting system going forward. Simplifies things mechanically and also frees up space, plus gives designers the ability to make the shifter whatever they want — a joystick, a circle, a toggle, buttons, or a traditional lever of sorts.
Except that drivers can’t seem to adapt to these new style shifters. That’s why Chrysler is having to recall some of them to change the logic. Customers are forgetting to put them in park before they get out. Or don’t know how to put them in park.
They really should but it just depends on how dealer we’re being taught to use the shifter so they can educate their customers about it. Not all dealers are taught or going to teach their customers how things work on their cars unless you ask them or something
They will but they have to use care and get the right feel for people.
Chrysler has already had issues with the shifter and dial they use. People have had issues getting them into park.
These are items people take for granted and if you change it they at time can create issues you do not have. The Chrysler shifter is much like using a mouse that is set up faster than you anticipate. The first time I used one I could see older people having trouble getting the right gear. There is really no feel to it.
In time most things will be drive by wire even your brakes.
I’d love to see GMC use a dial style shifter like on Range Rover and Jaguar models. Just another way to differentiate them from the rest of GM’s brands
