2018 Chevrolet Traverse To Introduce High Country Trim To Capture Premium Crossover Market

The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is hauling in plenty of new equipment when it arrives later this year, but it will also be adding two new trim variants for potential buyers.
We already briefly discussed the 2018 Traverse RS, which will arrive exclusively with a 2.0-liter LTG turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but the Traverse will also introduce a High Country trim level for a more luxurious take on the crossover.
Those 2018 Chevrolet Traverse models outfitted in High Country trimmings will feature a unique interior finish of Loft Brown leather and suede accents inside, 20-inch polished wheels, High Country badging, D-Optic headlamps, standard twin-clutch AWD and power-fold, third-row seats.
The decision to market a High Country variant of Traverse is reportedly in response to the Ford Explorer’s Platinum trim and other premium full-size crossovers. The Traverse will be putting the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and other on notice when it arrives this fall.

It looks awesome !! It will be the big sales king . I just wish GM would have offered the 3.0 Turbo V6 ,the one that offered in the Buck AWD Model !!
That should have been what powered the RS trim!
And this is where we would probably expect the next Enclave to be about 60k at top
High Country sounds like a profit engine – if people will pay 50k for a big crossover…why not make one? Just make sure it’s at least as profitable as a 50k Tahoe.
I’m pleased that this thing is this big. It’s nice to see them not use the body on frame SUVs as an excuse to not have a truly large crossover. I would never let my wife get a Tahoe or Suburban given the cost you pay for what they are when we never will be towing anything and the third row is tiny. This is in the mix.
Looks GREAT! Unless GMC does a clone soon of this we will have to switch Brands!!!
Great looks, well done and nice to see High Country model. Should be a hit.
