2018 Chevrolet Traverse Marketing Manager Discusses The Future Of The Segment: Video

The 2017 North American International Auto Show brought about one big, important debut for Chevrolet. Even though, as enthusiasts, we like to see performance machines front and center, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is more important than any new sports car.
Why? Because it pays the bills and funds projects like, say, a C8 Corvette with a mid-engine configuration.
Kathleen Murawski stopped by Roadshow to discuss why the 2018 Traverse is so important to Chevrolet and even talked a bit about where the Traverse may go in the future.
Specifically, she stated it truly depends on the customer base for the vehicle. For example, while there is not a diesel engine available for the Traverse at present, that could change in the future should demand call for it. Murawski certainly did not rule out the option, especially as the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox gears up to launch a diesel engine later this year.
Even electrification could be explored in the future, barring how gasoline prices fluctuate over the next few years. From Murawski comments, engineers seem to be ready and willing to apply hybrid systems to crossovers should it become necessary for fuel economy and vehicles’ customer bases.

So RS can be have with AWD?
Right. That’s what she said, but I’m not sure I believe her.
I love the look of this new vehicle. I am very happy that they managed to make the vehicle lighter and larger at the same time. However the spokesperson, Kathleen Murowski is TERRIBLE at her job. NO ENTHUSIASM. She doesn’t seem to have any passion or any product knowledge. Did she not prepare in advance for this interview? It was painful watching her struggle to answer basic questions.
it was rough to watch her struggle
ya cant have chick talk about cars.. 😉
