2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 Spied Getting Snowy Up North

After collectively disappointing the internet following our report stating there will not be a 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, it seems the upcoming variant has taken a holiday in Canada.
The 2018 Corvette ZR1 was spied out in aboot about as it trekked through cold temperatures and snowy conditions. It still wore similar mismatched body parts in various colors, and the front end is cloaked by plenty of camouflage. Said camo is likely hiding a revised front fascia with reworked aerodynamic and cooling upgrades.
As for what’s powering the 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1, if you haven’t heard already, leaked General Motors documents confirmed the return of the “LT5” designation. Specifically, the documents showed a 6.2-liter DOHC LT5 V8 engine appearing for the 2018 model year of Corvette. After connecting a few dots, we can make an educated guess as to where this engine will appear. And by that, we mean in a production C7 Corvette ZR1.
If the ZR1 is to once again be the top dog of Corvettes, it will have to surpass the 650 hp mark set by the 2017 C7 Corvette Z06. We have faith the Corvette team will be able to do just that.

I wonder what tires these are?
They are not the Pilot Cup 2 tires but they do look more like a new form of the Goodyear F1 super car tires
Hmmm? Could be just for the snow or are they moving to a new line of tire?
The side walls have no lettering like they are prototype tires.
Anyone have a clue on the tires. They appear not to be track only tires nor full winter tires either.
They could be a new Eagle F1 all season tire, or Michelin Pilot all season. I’m not quite sure either.
Looks like a Goodyear maximum performance summer tire . Eagle F1 supercar G3.
Or a varation of them.
A change in tires seldom happens on the Vette and this could signal a change.
Goodyear left a while ago as being the Corvette supplier is not cheap and Goodyear was coming out of a tough economic time. Michelin was willing to step up and do what ever they wanted.
Aboot… XD
what new tire line would that be if they change?
See above.
Odds are they will remain on pilots but Goodyear has moved back in on the Camaro line.
Michelin and Goodyear are the only two who may be able to afford to be a supplier to the Vette.
There is little money and a lot of development cost in a program like this. The budget companies tend to keep away.
They may just be trying these but this late in the program I suspect a new pilot or eagle.
