When thinking of vehicles that are capable of off-road use, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500 Duramax doesn’t immediately come to mind. A Colorado Z71 Trail Boss or ZR2, perhaps, but not a big ol’ Silverado. But that’s exactly what the fellas use on this episode of The Fast Lane Truck.
The ’02 Silverado HD actually belongs to Andre Smirnov of TFLT, and it’s powered by the mighty 6.6L V8 Duramax turbodiesel matted to a 5-speed Allison transmission. The truck is equipped with a locking rear differential, and 4WD with both high and low settings. The Silverado also has its wheels wrapped in meaty BFGoodrich All-Terrain K02 tires.
So, this Chevrolet Silverado has the tools necessary to complete the task, but can Andre finagle the large truck through the three stages they’ve set at the Gold Mine Hill trail? Click play to find out.

isn’t this the same hill they took a raptor up and got stuck?
