1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Has A Session With Jay Leno: Video

We’re going to take the first line of this story to once again express that Jay Leno has one of the best jobs ever. Okay, now that we’ve covered that, we’ll move right along to the vehicle at hand.

A 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge made a pitstop on Jay Leno’s Garage and it’s looking (and sounding) better than we ever remember.

The GTO Judge was originally imagined as a lower-cost GTO with stripped down content, but instead became a top dog of the lineup. The Ram Air III engine was standard, as was a four-speed transmission with Hurst T-shifter. The name, if you didn’t know, came from the popular television show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. Specifically, Sammy Davis Jr.’s “here come de judge” gave birth to the GTO’s special name.

You can watch the entire show, which dives deeper into the Judge’s history, right up above.
