The next installment in the long-running “Fast and Furious” franchise is coming to a theater near you on April 14, 2017, and it has a few notable vehicles that have caught our attention.
Nevermind the fact the series yanked the handbrake on its roots and has evolved into an all-out action movie (where’s the racing at?), because we’re still compelled to sit down and see why Dominic Toretto has seemingly betrayed his team in “The Fate of the Furious.”
In the trailer, Dom utterly turns his back on the team he groomed over the past few installments and we have an all-new villain the team must take down while figuring out what Dom is up to.
Of course, the series has always been about the cars nearly as much as the stars themselves. And in this film, we see a widebody C2 Corvette will take a role as one important vehicle. In fact, we’ve delved deeper into the Furious 8 Corvette previously while the movie was filming in Cleveland, Ohio.
We also see an LS9-powered Equus Bass, too, among other notable vehicles. And explosions. We can’t forget the explosions.
“The Fate of the Furious” is the first film of the series (not counting “Tokyo Drift”) to not feature Paul Walker, Brian O’Conner, after he was killed in a speeding accident. Walker was always noted for trying to keep the series somewhat grounded, but it looks like life after Walker has kicked things up a notch. Because explosions.

Ugh! Just another example of cookie cutter movie making and how Hollywood has ran out of new ideas.
I will watch it! A workmate who is a part-time actress did participate in “Fast and Furios Five” which was filmed here in Puerto Rico (becoming Brasil in the movie). The crash scenes were violent, and that took days to do, yet it was just several minutes in the film. Both Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson (the Rock) are favorites here, and very friendly with our locals.
I’ve wonder what causes dom to split the family
