The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Is Not A Science Experiment: Video

When the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV was unveiled, General Motors CEO Mary Barra stated the vehicle would not sit in the conceptual stage for long. She promised the Bolt EV would enter production this year and reach its first customers by the year’s end.

That promise was kept when three Californians took delivery of the first 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EVs on December 13, 2016. Along with the news, Chevrolet has created a quick promotional video to go along with the milestone.

The video features the Bolt EV’s production process, showcasing the ingenuity and workmanship that goes into each vehicle along the production line at the Orion assembly plant.

Most importantly, it echoes Barra’s quote from January 6, 2016: “This isn’t some science project or concept that’s years away.” Under her watch, the 238-mile range Bolt EV is a reality.
