It’s always news when a new color comes or goes for the Corvette. This time, the news surrounds a color on its way out, though. Corvette Blogger has confirmed Sterling Blue will exit production in March of 2017 for the 2017 C7 Corvette.
It’s worth noting the Bowling Green assembly plant’s new paint shop will be completed in April of 2017, which means new hues could trickle in throughout the year, possibly for the 2018 model year of C7 Corvette. The color, a silvery light blue, may not be replaced by a new hue, though.
Throughout the C7 Corvette’s lifespan, Chevrolet has only updated and replaced a color once mid-way through a model year, that being the addition of Admiral Blue in 2016.
The final build week for Sterling Blue will be March 20, 2017. If you plan to specifically order a Sterling Blue C7 Corvette, you have until February 16, 2017.
