Bruce Springsteen’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Is Currently For Sale

An ultimate piece of Bruce Springsteen memorabilia is currently up for grabs on eBay. That would be the rock star’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.

In fact, the 1957 Chevy was also Springsteen’s first car and wrote about the Bel Air in one of his books. He purchased the vehicle for $2,000 in 1975.

According to USA Today, the 1957 Bel Air was sold in 2011 for $468,000. Thus far, the reserve has not been met on the vehicle, and bidding sits around $75,000. The Bel Air comes with the vehicle’s original registration, the Allstate insurance card issued in Springsteen’s name and address and an 80-page book Out in the Street: Bruce Springsteen’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible.

The 1957 Bel Air has also been showcased at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio and at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame annex in New York City.

Springsteen says he originally sold the 1957 Bel Air because it was simply attracting too much attention with its orange flame paint work. The Bel Air also features dual, four-barrel carburetors and a Hurst four-speed manual transmission.
