Canada has followed suit with a pricing announcement after Chevrolet put a $24,670 price tag on the 2017 Cruze Diesel for the United States.
For our friends to the North, the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel will ring in at $25,695, which includes the destination fee.
“The Cruze offers Canadian customers the only clean diesel engine option in a compact car,” said Laura Pacey, brand director, Chevrolet in Canada. “In addition to innovative safety and technology features, Chevrolet delivers the efficiency and dependability of a diesel engine.”
Standard features include the Teen Driver system, a rear vision camera, heated seats, a seven-inch infotainment system, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and OnStar 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Of course, that’s all in addition to the 1.6-liter CDTi turbo diesel engine which may be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or GM’s new nine-speed automatic transmission.
The 2017 Cruze Diesel will arrive in Canada at the start of 2017.

I commend Chevrolet for stepping in to fill the void of fuel effecient Diesel automobiles. The new Cruse will be on my short list of vehicles to strongly consider. I currently own a Diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee that consistently achieves 30 mpg+ on the highway and never below 25 mpg around town. It was a great purchase and I expect that the new Cruse will be similar from recent news releases.
Can’t wait to get my hands on one…
Will it be able to tow? Diesel engines usually have enough torque…
