Electric vehicle fans, the time has nearly come. Well, if you live on the west coast, that is. A Facebook video from a Chevrolet Bolt EV fan group shows a trailer filled with 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EVs leaving the Orion Assembly plant on their way to dealerships.
The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV will arrive in California and Oregon first with an MSRP of $37,495 and a total EPA-estimated range of 238 miles before the battery is completely depleted. Federal tax credits will help bring the price of the 2017 Bolt EV down to $29,995.
The person who took the video states the Bolt EVs were heading south down I-75 in Detroit, Michigan, meaning their first stop may not be in California. But, per General Motors’ promise, the Bolt EV will arrive for customers by the end of 2016.

What good is it if you can’t get one in Michigan! Thanks GM!!!!
Probably not heading to California by truck, more likely headed to the GM proving grounds in Michigan for quality control, which is where some customers with early orders are being told their cars are now. The Orion plant is serviced by a huge rail yard.
