Watch This Borla Exhaust Comparison For The 2016+ Chevrolet Camaro V6: Video

This Borla exhaust comparison video shows us that a Chevrolet Camaro equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 LGX can sound a lot better than you might expect. In the video, you’ll see the V6 Camaro fitted with the S-Type exhaust system as well as the popular ATAK system.

More often than not, the V6 Camaro is glossed over by many as the lesser pony car that is reserved for hairdressers or something. Because of this, there’s a slight stigma surrounding V6 pony cars. It’s as if whenever you see one and think, “it’s not a V8,” your brain doesn’t bother to process it any further. This perception seems to have shifted for the sixth-generation Camaro. Perhaps it is all thanks to the more nimble Alpha chassis, along with a more refined overall feel. Plus, it has more horsepower than many previous Camaro V8 models of the past.

If you’ve actually driven one you’ll know that the belting, rasping 335-hp generated by the LGX is enough to enjoy yourself. Add to it the 1LE package which is now available for V6 models, and you’ve got a nimble track-ready car. If you crave more, then perhaps the Borla S-Type or ATAK exhaust could be the cherry on top.

We’re partial to the ATAK system. In our opinion, it gives the V6 Camaro a very muscle car-like exhaust note – something we’re sure owners will love. Watch the video for yourself to find out which system you prefer.

  1. Wow love that sound. I think it makes the new v6 camaro a real contender, especially since it is faster than an sti around a track,

  2. The whole V6 set-up is a winner. Couple that with the 1LE handling pkg. and the whole pkg. is measurably better. Add the Borla exhaust, the Type-S for street driven Camaro’s and the ATAK for the 1LE for weekend track cars and we have sweet icing on a serious machine, one that pulls 7,000+rpm and can get over 30-mpg. Add the SS-1LE wheel and tire pkg, and it will pull over 1-G. Top speed limited to 155MPH for the V6 – 1LE. Maybe a reflash will raise that limit.
