Vauxhall Reflects On The One-Year Anniversary Of OnStar

It has been one year since Vauxhall launched OnStar in the United Kingdom for its customers, and like cousin Opel, it has been a major success.

Customers in the UK have launched the Vauxhall application nearly one million times since its launch, and the service has received around 880,000 calls from customers and sent 830,000 monthly vehicle diagnostics emails. The brand estimates two out of three new Vauxhalls will be equipped with OnStar by next year.

“OnStar is proving hugely popular with Vauxhall and Opel customers across the UK and Europe,” said Brian McCreavy, Regional Manager, OnStar Europe. “People really appreciate the convenience and peace of mind offered by OnStar’s services, which is clear to see from the interactions to date. So it goes without saying that we’re looking forward to bringing these new markets into our family.”

Next, OnStar will expand into 18 additional European markets as the service continues to grow while adding new, useful features.

Vauxhall has been awarded a handful of honors for its OnStar system including Auto Express’s Technology Award, Car Buyer’s Best Safety Innovation and the innovation award at the BusinessCar Techies 2015.
