It should come as no surprise China will receive the first Avenir branded vehicle in the Buick portfolio. Buick previously revealed it would bring the Avenir sub-brand to life with concept car-inspired designs and unique luxury appointments. The first vehicle to benefit will be the Buick GL8 Avenir.
The exterior receives 18-inch multispoke aluminum-alloy wheels, unique to the Avenir model, and a new grille treatment is present up front. It also features the diamond pattern Buick promised would be present for Avenir vehicles.
Inside, Avenir show car influence is evident. When the Avenir debuted, Buick designers told us interior inspiration came from waves crashing upon the shore and fluid sand. The textures inside the cabin mimic these waves, especially across the dashboard and door panels. The seats also receive diamond patterns, and the Avenir logo is present throughout, too.
The GL8 Avenir goes on sale November 5, 2016, in China. But, for the U.S., we still don’t know which vehicle we will see as our first Avenir. Our bet is the 2018 Buick Enclave, and not a Chinese minivan with architecture dating back to the Pontiac Trans Sport.

To me, this minivan slightly resembles last gen Quest minivan – especially its side looks.
I don’t mean anything good or bad specifically, just saying.
As for Avenir sub-branding, in North America, I guess, both new 2018 Enclave and LaCrosse (presumably, also 2018 M/Y) will get this “Avenir” treatment – as the sort of “topmost trim”, I suppose.
I’m not sure about new 2018 Regal, since Regal has an accent to be a performance vehicle in Buick “stables”.
Do we know what the cost is for the Avenir trim ? Or what it was for the GL8 .
