The 1984 Bertone Ramarro Brought An Edge To The Wedge

As we move deeper into a future of autonomy and standardized safety inflicting design creativity, we look back on concept cars with new admiration. That includes the 1984 Bertone Ramarro Corvette you see here.

Jalopnik dug through the archives to find the forgotten concept vehicle yet again over 30 years later. And, you know what? It still looks pretty good.

The design and body shortens and lightens the C4 Corvette, but still uses the same V8 engine up front, and delivers the same V8 power to the rear wheels. It’s just a pretty crazy design exercise and a classic example of the wedge design we saw often during the 1970s and 1980s.

However, the same probably can’t be said about the interior. While it looks comfy, it also looks pretty… ugly.

Anywho, we salute the Bertone Ramarro for its futuristic looks some 30 years later. May designers keep on dreaming.

  1. Hey, Sean, now you can SHUT TFU! President Donald J. Trump beats crooked Hillary Clinton. Game over.

I voted the winning side because of arrogant “media” a-h*les like you who thought they knew everything and were holier than thou…Oh, and tried to propagate and buy off the election. You have egg on your face!

Those who laugh last, laugh the hardest.

God bless America…And God bless our 45th President, DONALD TRUMP!
