Opel has shared quite a few details on what will be coming to market in 2017. And, since Opel and Holden will be aligned more closely than ever, it could mean news of a reborn Adventura.
The Holden Adventura was introduced to the Holden lineup in 2003 as a solution to the booming SUV market in Australia after the brand saw what was coming with the Ford Territory. The Adventura, though, never caught on like the Territory would.
But, the Adventura could return as Opel confirmed a new Insignia Country Tourer, itself akin to what the Adventura was. The Opel Insignia Country Tourer will be one of three Insignia body styles; the Insignia Grand Sport and Sports Tourer will also be present.
Motoring reports it’s all but confirmed the taller, more rugged wagon will make its way to Australia alongside the fully-imported Commodore, rounding out three options when the 2018 Holden Commodore goes on sale in Australia in early 2018.
