Chinese consumers are about to get a taste of America’s love affair with trucks through a parallel import program. Chevrolet announced it will import the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and 2017 Chevrolet Colorado into China beginning next year.
Parallel imports are technically gray market material, but some countries do encourage the practice for the free flow of information. It also helps with pricing, where a good is purchased cheaper in one country and sold for a premium in a separate market.
Chevrolet has not stated when the trucks will go on sale, but expect these trucks to fetch a hefty premium.
