Buick Ranked Number One On JD Power Sales Satisfaction Index

Buick has had a very good year. Not long ago, the brand became the first American marque to crack the top three on the Consumer Reports’ reliability survey. Now, it has taken the number one spot in sales satisfaction.

Buick ousted Mini, which has held the position for six years, as the brand with the highest sales satisfaction among buyers. The data comes from the JD Power Sales Satisfaction Index, which polls buyers of all mass-market brands.

The data also provides insight into what Buick is doing right. It seems the brand is providing a low-pressure sales environment for consumers, meaning a straightforward buying experience and fewer add-ons during closing. Older customers are also more pleased than youngins, per the data.

Behind Buick sits Mini, Chevrolet and GMC to round out the top four. On the luxury side of things, Porsche topped each brand, while Cadillac tied BMW for fourth place.
