Buick Teases Velite Concept In China, Previewing New PHEV

We’ve seen Buick’s upcoming Velite on two occasions. Once as it roamed the streets testing in Chicago, and the other as Chinese publications leaked official photos.

However, it seems Buick will show a Velite concept before a true production variant breaks cover. Buick sent out an official teaser image for the Velite concept car, which is set to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

The Velite concept is also said to usher in a new era under the “Buick Blue” new energy vehicle strategy as well.

The Velite is expected to mostly be a rebadged, second-generation Chevrolet Volt. It’s also expected to share identical propulsion systems with the second-generation Voltec system.

Look for the Buick Velite concept when the Guangzhou Auto Show opens on November 18.

  1. This picture looks different than the nose of the Buick Velite seen in Chicago.. as this concept car borrows a page from Buick’s other concept car the Avenir which says there’s nothing wrong with being a Buick and sexy.
