Bob Lutz Takes To ‘Autoline After Hours’ To Discuss VLF, Tesla And The Bolt EV: Video

Bob Lutz is back yet again. This time, he was invited to Autoline After Hours to discuss a wide range of topics, yet all of them very familiar.

Foremost, Lutz brought his latest brainchild with him: the VLF Destino. The Destino is a reborn Fisker Karma, which has been slightly redesigned, stripped of its electric motors and is now propelled by a 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine. Lutz spends a lengthy amount of time going over how the car came to be and why he plans on VLF to be a success.

But, moving right along, Lutz turns to Tesla and the latest Autopilot incidents. We all know how Lutz feels about Tesla, so we won’t spend time reiterating his comments in this space. But he also spends some time chatting about the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV and other electric cars invading the market.

Lutz has previously called the Bolt EV a “compliance car” for General Motors, but has his view changed? Click play on the episode right up above.
