2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Configurator Boots Up

We previously brought you the secret link to build your own 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 early through the friends and family discount site. But, if you’re SOL on finding those kinds of discounts, the Camaro ZL1 configurator for regular consumers has fired up.

Landing on the build page here, you will be prompted to choose either the Camaro ZL1 coupe, starting at $62,135, or ZL1 convertible, starting at $68,135. The next step will be choosing which color to finish your Camaro ZL1 in. We opted for Garnet Red Metallic, a $395 option.

If you’re feeling even sportier, you may add a “Black Metallic” center strip to the exterior as well, which costs an additional $470.

Moving right along, we perused through the options list, which shows the 10-speed automatic transmission arriving in early 2017 as a $1,595. Inside, we selected the eight-inch MyLink system navigation for another $495, and we added a sunroof to our coupe for $900. A few more option ticks here and there, and we also ended up with the Performance Data Recorder ($1,300) and carbon-fiber instrument panel trim ($500).

Upon finishing, we were staring at a $66,490 price tag, including destination, but not including dealer fees and taxes. However, let’s not forget the performance on hand for the price. 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque are nothing to joke about, and the rifle quick 10-speed auto helped trump plenty of high-performance vehicles at the Nürburgring.

  1. Why no chrome or bright aluminum wheels…or Black interior with Red inserts?

  2. I find this news quite funny considering the configurator has been up for over a month on the Canadian site and nobody on here seemed to know about it.
