SEMA 2016Â has come and gone, but we’re still digesting the influx of amazing builds and aftermarket news that ensued. Some of which is from the coveted Battle of the Builders competition.
Take, for instance, this Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 entry by Russ Taylor. It’s a purpose-built track car with substantial weight savings, thanks to carbon fiber pieces offered by Anderson Composites. In fact, it’s the first, if not only, full carbon fiber Z/28. That alone makes it incredibly unique, as one should expect from such a SEMA build. HG Motorsports was responsible for the installation of these components, including the chassis-mounted, custom APR wing.
If you missed what SEMA offered this year, the short preview video of this Camaro should change that just a little bit. So, go ahead and click play. Ultimately, Taylor’s carbon Camaro lost out to HS Customs’ 1969 Camaro build in the competition.
