Stacy Tucker is a co-owner of Detroit Speed, a North Carolina-based shop that adds modern day performance to classic muscle cars. We’ve seen Smoking Tire host Matt Farah enjoy himself in a couple of Detroit Speed builds, including a G-body Monte Carlo and 600-hp C3 Corvette. While those cars were undeniably remarkable, Stacy’s 1969 Chevrolet Camaro appears to be the cream of the crop.
With 560-hp to the rear wheels and a weight of less than 3,500-lbs with a full tank of fuel and the driver, this pro-touring Camaro is set to scoot. But don’t let the power fool you, it’s capable of more than just a straight line. Thanks in-part to a carbon-fiber front end, this Camaro has a 50/50 weight distribution, and is capable of competing in autocross and road course racing. Despite having a slew of performance goodies, the car’s setup is still capable of performing well on the streets.
On top of all that, it looks fantastic in that spectacular blue finish.
We’ve seen many great builds, but this is one car we would actually want to own ourselves. Watch the video, then let us know if you’re as infatuated with this Camaro as we are.
