Leading up to the iconic Bathurst 1000, Red Bull Racing Australia decided to do something a little different. The racing team took one standard issue V8 Supercars Holden Commodore and outfitted it to become a drift machine for driver Shane Van Gisbergen.
The VF Commodore was tweaked to have four times greater steering angle than the regular V8 Supercar and also sports dual brake calipers at the rear. The formula makes for plenty of sideways a smokey action.
While this machine is purpose built for drifting, V8 Supercars once upon a time did some impromptu drifting, too.
