The 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 Also Seems To Have A Convertible Variant

Yesterday, we received video of the proposed 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 testing in Ohio, but along with that video, we also noticed a drop-top variant.

The 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 was seen not only as a coupe (giant wing accompanying it) but also as a convertible, sporting a much smaller rear spoiler. It’s the first we’ve heard and seen of a convertible Corvette ZR1.

Much mystery still surrounds these prototypes altogether. The rumormill states up to 750 hp, possibly from a new LT5 V8 engine. Additionally, this may be the last C7 Corvette variant before a mid-engine Corvette steals the limelight sometime in 2019, pegging this ZR1 for a 2018 launch.

We’re expecting a reveal for the 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. In the meantime, we can only make educated guesses as to what’s happening underneath the camouflage.
