General Motors will stick by its promise to deliver the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV to dealers by the end of this year. However, that will obviously not be a nationwide rollout.
It’s was always a safe assumption the 2017 Bolt EV would hit the west coast first, and that seems to be the case, according to InsideEVs. California dealers are reporting their first Bolt EV allocations, and the vehicle is beginning to show up in dealer computer systems.
Rick Alpern, General Managers of Keyes Chevrolet in California, stated: “Initial allocation is 78; I have 35 deposits so that leaves 43 open slots.”
An unnamed General Motors representative told Alpern allocations would continue to begin in California and Oregon first. 2017 will likely see a full rollout of Bolt EV availability.
