The GM Authority Take

The impressive spike in September Volt deliveries are explained by nationwide availability of the 2017 model, which marks the second model year of the all-new, second-gen Volt. By comparison, availability of the 2016 Volt — the first model year of the all-new, second-generation — was limited to only a handful of states.

  1. Demonstration that the American people are getting smarter; but Volt sales figures should be 2-3X what they are as the message Chevy is using for the Volt is still not getting across.. as Chevy needs to be blunt and simply say the truth which is that unlike other cars like the Prius which are designed to use gas, the Volt doesn’t use gas until it’s battery is exhausted.

  2. the Volt is a POS exterior design.

    1. What’s weird is I was looking at one in a parking lot the other day but couldn’t find the Chevy or Volt branding. I then realized it was some Hyundai.

  3. GM and Chevy are so committed to this generation Volt that according to Auto-Line Daily on YouTube , they are reporting that Buick will get a version of the Volt for the Chinese market only called the Velite . No price was given or where it is to be produced . It’s another sign just how much the Chinese market is critical for Buick’s expansion in that country .

  4. I don’t know how people would get in to the back without scraping there heads on the ceiling since the rear roof is so sloped….personally I find the Volt a vary weird looking car.
