Chevy Cruze Sales Up 8 Percent To 15,216 Units In September 2016

Chevrolet Cruze deliveries in the United States totaled 15,216 units in September 2016, an increase of 8 percent compared to the 14,032 units sold in September 2015.
In the first nine months of 2016, sales of the compact sedan are down 23 percent to 138,012 units.

In Canada, the Cruze recorded 2,929 deliveries in September 2016, an increase of 2 percent compared to September 2015. In the first nine months of the year, sales of the vehicle totaled 19,174 units in Canada, a decrease of 21 percent compared to the first nine months of 2015.

For the 2016 model year, Chevrolet completely overhauled the Cruze sedan, marking the second generation of the nameplate. It also continued selling the first-gen model as the Cruze Limited. For the 2017 model year, Chevy is giving the Cruze sedan a few changes and updates, while also introducing a new five-door hatchback variant, which should better position the Cruze family against direct rivals from Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and Honda.
