It seems Chevrolet has exhausted the murdered, black-out look because the Chevrolet Cruze RS hatch Blue Line concept is anything but black. As the name implies, it’s quite blue.
The Cruze RS Hatch Blue Line is finished in Genesis White, contrasted by blue-tinted windows and 18-inch slate blue metallic concept wheels. Additionally, the Cruze Blue Line debuts a vehicle-specific performance air intake and exhaust system, both of which will be available in mid-2017 and do not void the warranty.
A suspension lowering kit drops the Cruze Blue Line concept 0.4 inches and Chevrolet says a larger diameter front stabilizer bar contributes to more responsive handling.
Inside, the concept features a black interior with custom satin graphite accents on the instrument panel, shift knob and door inserts. Sport pedals and illuminated door sills round out the Cruze RS hatch Blue Line’s look.
The Chevrolet Cruze RS hatch Blue Line concept will be joined by the Chevrolet Malibu Blue Line concept when both make their public debut between November 1-4.

When will Gm ever put a decent motor in the Cruze? The RS package is about the equivalent to a Corolla S. All Show, No Go!
Well said! Offer a dealer installed tune (40-50 extra hp), a 6 speed trans, Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, etc.. A starting price of $25k would knock the socks off of the competition.
As I said on the Malibu just offer the Turbo upgrade package.
This will make the power optional to those who want it and the Premium fuel only and can be skipped by those who do not want it.
Here is the deal GM could offer a kit that is dealer installed, It would provide 40-65 HP and would require premium fuel only. The kit would not void the warranty and they could sell it as part of the car sales as an dealer installed option. GM makes money and the dealer makes money. It is a low cost kit that could be sold for $500 and only consist of two map sensors and a computer flash. The maps may not even be needed depending on what is in there now.
More boost is more power.
Now before anyone says it can not be done Chevy already did it on the Cobalt SS and HHR SS. Both saw boost levels to 23 PSI and torque at 315 FT LBS limited only because of the weaker transmissions of 2008. The power was just up to 290-300 HP. I own one of these and even with the need for Premium it was no big deal as I ran it anyways as it gave me full power as the required rating will roll back power by about 15-20 HP on regular.
Note due to the increase in torque I also picked up 1-2 MPG. I confirmed with the GM performance engineer that it was not a fluke and the increase was real.
Also as a dealer installed option it should not hurt GM CAFE even if it was lower.
The Redline models were great but all they need is something to back up the looks. I am tired of the paint and decal packaged.
Ford has just done a tune kit for the Mustang Turbo so maybe this will make GM move to theirs.
Note too if you have not driven a LNF turbo with a tune then you need to get out and drive one. The torque is on par with a 428 Pontiac. The only real issue is FWD sucks for traction.
Anyone who believes FWD has more traction try 300 HP on a small fwd car and try to get the power to the ground. I have set off the traction control at over 50 MPH. It scared me as I though I broke it when the lights came on and the power died with the waste-gate popping. It is a little better with my stickier tires but traction is a job to get to the ground when the Torque curve is 315 FT LBS from 1800-5300 RPM.
