LG Motorsports now offers the Akrapovic carbon-tip exhaust system for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette.The quad, carbon fiber tips will add a special touch to the rear of any C7. To clarify, the system is available for both LT1-powered and LT4-powered Z06 models.
The pipes aren’t cheap though. Crafted from high-grade titanium, the system is available as just a slip on system or a full cat-back system.
The slip-on option was designed to fit over the factory link pipes, and has a price tag of $4,209.95. It frees up 11.6 lbs of weight, and yields gains of 8.8 lb-ft of torque and 7.4 hp. If your Corvette doesn’t have the factory NPP option, LG gives buyers the option to add on a valve actuator kit at the cost of $1,020. A valve controller is an additional $550.
The full cat-back includes an X-pipe, and has a price of $5,795.95. It lightens the car by 25.5 lbs while increasing output by 18.8 hp and adding 19.2 lb-ft of torque – though, we’re not sure if these figures are for the LT1 or the LT4.
