Following the Opel and Holden’s invitations to local media for a preview of the next-generation Insignia/Commodore, Vauxhall has followed suit.
The 2018 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport will be a carbon-copy of the 2018 Opel Insignia Grand Sport and 2018 Holden NG Commodore. Ditto for our 2018 Buick Regal, though Buick has kept quiet while the other three brands spill details on the new vehicle.
The new Insignia Grand Sport will grow in size by over 3.5 inches, yet have considerably shorter front and rear overhangs. By increasing width by 0.4 inches and lowering the roofline, Vauxhall states the Insignia will take on a more striking and athletic look.
“Vauxhall is raising its game even further with the launch of the new Insignia Grand Sport,” said Rory Harvey, Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director. “It will set new standards for design, efficiency, technology and connectivity when it debuts next year at the Geneva Motor Show.”

1.5 turbo engine is a star especially in my country which gets very high taxes 1600 cc and over. No doubt it will has lower consumption compared to current 1.6T and -thanks to the weight reduction- much better speeding times. I’m a huge fan of Insignia and waiting new one impatiently. Wish it doesn’t be disappointed us, cause i am really worried about that liftback design.
