Some may remember (but many may not) the 2011 Roadyacht GTS concept vehicle, which debuted with a Corvette V8 engine. After the Dutch supercar failed to gain traction, the project quickly dwindled away.
But now, Autocar is reporting GLM, a Japanese EV start-up company, has bought stake in the Roadyacht’s company, Savage Rivale, and will revive the project.
Except, the V8 is out, and an electric powertrain is in. GLM will instead house an all-electric powertrain with no further specifications at this time. However, the report states the reborn Roadyacht will be on display at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
While GLM will focus on the electric propulsion, Savage Rivale will stick to studio and design work. Future plans include more sports cars, boats and villas.
