The FANUC M-2000iA/1700L is a heavy-duty payload robot, and it’s purpose is to reduce costs associated with conventional conveyors and lifting devices for automotive and other large component manufacturers. There are four different models, and the top dog is capable of lifting up to 2,300 kg (5,070.6 lbs), so lifting up this Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray and twirling it around put no strain on the robot.
The machine is able to move the Corvette around thanks to DCS Speed and Position Check Software. It utilizes FANUC intelligent functions, such as vision and force sensing. This ensures that the merchandise, in this case the C7 Stingray, are handled with care and precision.
