The 2016 Opel Astra K has been busy racking up plenty of awards and accolades. Although recognition is never a bad thing, a successful vehicle is told through sales numbers.
Opel has announced over 250,000 orders have been placed for thew 2016 Astra K and its Sports Tourer variant.
“Lighter, more agile and with top technologies that make driving more relaxed – this is our new Astra,” says Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann. “We promised a big hit in the compact class – and we kept our promise. With a host of innovations otherwise rarely found in this segment, the youngest generation of the Astra and Astra Sports Tourer is again a bestseller.”
Innovations and technology are abundant, too. Matrix LED IntelliLux lighting, Opel Eye front camera, massaging seats and more are all a part of the Astra’s new packaging.
Now, we can only hope 2017 brings us the performance side of things, such as a new Astra OPC.

So what’s the big deal? Is it coming to The states?
Yes as a Buick
This had better come as a Buick! This is by far one of the most appealing hatchbacks on the market, and it’s a shame we can’t get one here! If we can’t a Buick version of this, can we at least expect the Cruze Hatch to have some of the niceties of the Astra K?
