LMR-Tuned Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Makes Nearly 500 WHP On The Dyno: Video

Even at idle this 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 sounds nasty. And at wide-open-throttle, well, you know. It’s been reworked by the fellas at Late Model Racecraft, and in this video we see it put down nearly 500 horsepower to the rear wheels.

With ported heads and a more aggressive cam this Trans Am makes exactly 486.75 horsepower, to be exact, and it has nearly just as much torque with 461.45 ft-lb. This may not be the most horsepower the internet has ever seen, but it should be enough to get the best of a brand-new Camaro SS. In a straight line, that is.

Names like Hennessey and Lingenfelter tend to be the go-to shops in the game, but they’re certainly not the only shops. Especially for those in Texas.
