Hot Or Not: 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe And Suburban Midnight Editions
Sponsored Links
Chevrolet has been busy segmenting the market in a number of its product lines with special edition packages in numerous configurations.
The most recent additions to the strategy are the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe Midnight Edition and 2017 Chevrolet Suburban Midnight Edition. Per the usual, we want to hear from you: are the two SUVs looking dapper in all black everything?
The Midnight Edition adds identical equipment regardless of Suburban Midnight Edition or Tahoe Midnight Edition. The LT trim midnight package arrives with 20-inch black wheels, roof rack cross rails, black grille insert and black Chevrolet bowtie logos. Should you opt for the Z71 Midnight Edition package, you’re granted all the off-road goodies plus 18-inch black wheels, surrounded by all-terrain rubber, roof rack cross rails and black bowtie badges, too.
So, how are they looking? Previously, readers have told us the grille should be entirely black and skip the slight chrome look as an added effort in the blackout package. Talk to us further in the comment section below, and make yourself heard by voting in our poll.

Black out the chrome trim then it’ll look like a blackout package
When do the 2017’s show up in dealers?
I’d be more interested in move to IRS
They look like the vehicles the Secret Service use to drive political heavy weights in . Or maybe the Mafia .
Man are they going to be hard to keep clean .
Seems like the sales would be much better if they offered the 6.2 instead of a special paint scheme….
8 speed trans and Independent Rear Suspension should be included too!
Such a shame, they already had a real midnight edition before they ever released the k2xx to the public:

Blacked out bowties and a set of black rims do not a midnight edition make … the former is a cheap mod the latter are already offered as an option. So basically it’s a black bowtie edition.
I hate these black out models, especially black Bow Ties. Real Chevrolets should be wearing a Gold Bow Tie. Give me chrome bumpers, wheels and trim. I remember when you had to pay extra chrome now the most expensive models you pay more for painted bumpers and wheels. Doesn’t make good sense to me.
I like the blacked out look on most cars -Impala for sure..doesn’t make sense on a car like the Equinox to me. It’s more of a family car & I don’t see middle aged men or soccer moms buying the Nox blacked out..maybe an Xseries M or something sporty. The gold bow tie looks better than the black one in all instances. Car manufacturers saw the shift to the blacked out look and are now charging for it so they can pull in more profits. Makes good business sense.
GM and its thousands shades of black, silver, gray and white.
Put a black bow tie on my WHITE K3500 03 dually with a big BLACK Warn bumper. Fine.
Its about contrast that makes objects stand out. The blackout stealth look is a fad
that will pass. GM opts to put a $5.00 part on the 17 Tahoe grill rather than the 8 sp. trans.
WOW Thanks but no thanks..
