Hennessey Performance Engineering has rolled out this video of the supercharged Cadillac Escalade HPE800 being tested at the track and on the dyno. With 637.07 horsepower and 644.44 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, this 2016 Escalade will get you to where you’re going in no time at all. Just don’t call it a Cadillac Escalade-V.
We’re still not used to the image of an Escalade hauling ass with a gnarly exhaust note, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like it. In fact, we’d love to drive it. Would we spend money on such a thing? If we were obscenely rich and always in a hurry, sure.
What’s your take on the big, mean, loud luxury SUV? Is it what the world needs more of, or is it a little too unorthodox for your taste? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.

Love the sound of the exhaust note – especially when it launches. Wish my Yukon sounded like that, but then again, for an extra whatever amount of extra $$$$$, you can go as fast as you wish to pay for…
Without numbers of support how much better the Hennessey HPE800 Escalade is, this video doesn’t say much as Car and Driver says the 2016 Cadillac Escalade accelerated from zero to sixty in 5.8 seconds and did the quarter-mile in 14.3 sec @ 98 mph.
