GMC Sierra Sales Drop Nearly 18 Percent To 17,478 Units In August 2016

GMC Sierra deliveries in the United States totaled 17,478 units in August 2016, a decrease of 17.72 percent compared to the 21,241 units sold in August 2015.

In the first eight months of 2016, sales of the Sierra full-size truck family have increased 3.15 percent to 146,372 units. The figures represent the Sierra’s best year-to-date sales performance since 2006.

In Canada, the Sierra recorded 4,630 deliveries in August 2016, a decrease of 12.28 percent compared to August 2015. In the first eight months of 2016, sales of the pickup family totaled 34,701 units in Canada, a decrease of 3.03 percent compared to the first eight months of 2015.

  1. Yea sales are dropping because the select model program sucks. You have two identical in msrp 2016 sierra 1500s and one of them will be cheaper than the other. The program sucks and the dealers are sick of it. This program also makes dealer swaps a nightmare.
