Mobility is the buzz word these days in the automotive industry as things continue to disrupt and change what we’ve perceived as normal for some time. The World Mobility Forum is ready to address a few of these changes with an impressive lineup of speakers.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra will be one of a handful of keynote speakers during the two-day event. The forum will be convened by Ford Motor Company chairman Bill Ford, per Ford Authority, and will include additional executives from Volvo, Lyft, Tesla and more.
“The societal and mobility challenges being faced around the globe only can be addressed by working together,” said Bill Ford. “Now is the time for our industries, infrastructure partners, non-profits and government agencies to accelerate the development of the necessary transportation solutions that will improve people’s lives.”
Barra has been instrumental in placing GM in a mindset that is future-forward, especially as car- and ride-sharing programs continue to grow at quickening paces.
The event will take place in Detroit, Michigan on September 28, 2016 and wrap up on September 29.
