What better way to celebrate 50 years as an automotive source than with a daring construction project featuring two rotating Chevrolet Corvettes? That’s what Edmunds has done for its 50th anniversary.
The source decided to celebrate its golden anniversary with a revamped office space in Santa Monica, California. Included in the office is what you see above: two Corvettes, one being a 1966 C2 Corvette Sting Ray and the other a 2016 C7 Corvette Stingray.
The two vehicles literally sit atop each other to showcase the difference 50 years can make, and they rotate as a magnificent centerpiece. Both of the Corvettes are actual vehicles, too, they’re not something made for this display. Only the engines and fluids have been taken out of both vehicles in the name of weight saving.

That’s cool – I wish it could do a kind of gyroscopic 360, but a) it looks complicated enough, and b) like he said, the seismic implications. But fun!
Nice job, and nice they chose Corvettes.
