The GM Authority Take
Though we don’t have access to retail vs. fleet breakdown for the Malibu, we do know that in the United States, Chevrolet brand fleet sales fell 8.8 percent to 3,339 units in August, while retail sales were down 2.7 percent to 142,656 units. As such, we imagine that the Malibu’s slight sales drop in August is associated with GM North America’s ongoing focus to decrease sales to daily rental fleets.

cars look weird and frumpy these days.
Overall it is looking like GM had a tough summer , although 2015 was a banner year for the automaker .
