If the prospect of owning a badass Cadillac isn’t enough, Cadillac itself has sweetened the purchase of a 2017 CTS-V or 2017 ATS-V.
According to a report from Jalopnik, Cadillac will provide two days of performance driving school at its V-Performance Academy for free. The cost itself is free, but it’s likely baked into the final MSRP of the shiny new V machine purchased.
But, yes, Cadillac will put you up in a resort, provide food and drink and slide you behind the wheel of a 2017 Cadillac ATS-V or 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and teach you a thing or two about driving either machine.
The curriculum includes classroom instruction, a slalom, paddock training, turning while braking and a wet figure eight before the instructors take you out to Spring Mountain for lead-follow runs. Oh, and there’s absolutely no drifting. Sorry, hoons.
If a CTS-V or ATS-V doesn’t fit the budget, but a session will, Cadillac is working out costs for simply the training. The brand reported figures around $3,000 for a two-day session and $1,000 for a single day.
