We Render The Cadillac Escala Convertible

The Cadillac Escala Concept was quite a hit when it was unveiled last month at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. And though it was relatively well-received, something told us that the design language would also look dignified in a different body style… one that, perhaps, has two fewer doors and no roof. So we tasked our crack rendering artist to make an Escala Convertible.
All in all, our resulting Escala Convertible renderings have a very sexy, elegant, debonair appearance that makes it almost too irresistible, and we’re sure some of you will like it more than the original fastback-style sedan concept. There’s also something very Elmiraj-like about it, though we can’t quite figure out what it is.
So, Escala Convertible — yay, or nay? Hit us up in the comments.

This convertible rendering looks far sexier than the original Cadillac concept.
Cadillac produces mechanical wonders, but lags with design. Mark Ruess is determined to keep design “American” even though in 2016 there is no American or Korean or, for that matter, Italian design ethos anymore. Global design with German influences it’s the current trend with all successful automakers, even iconic brands like Jaguar, sharing designers and executives.
Absolutely !! GM and Cadillac need a halo luxury car and NOTHING says American luxury like a full sized classy convertible. And this one ROCKS like crazy. This is way too nice to remain a concept guys. Build it and gain some instant credibllity Caddy.
A truly American icon. We need this back here, it’s totally Cadillac’s heritage. GM… please, please, please do it!!!!
Great rendition. I don’t believe a modern luxury maker is complete without a convertible. I went to BMW because they understand what we want. Simple, stylish and options. This would look much better in my garage than a foreign manufacturer.
I’m BEGGING you, GM, please build this car! Gorgeous is a word that just doesn’t describe this car! Right now and or the last 30 + years, I’ve showing Cadillacs and Corvettes, current editions, not the older ones. From my experience, I would be proud to show this car in ANY car show starting tomorrow if I had one! If you build this, I will buy it!!!
Ps. please offer more color choices like Corvette does instead of just 5 or maybe 6 colors and a white or eggshell or light, light grey interior.
Thanks for listening,
First time I have seen this as a coup Convertible, Excellent ! If they do it in 2021 like they are planning I will have to trade in my 2016 Cadillac for this one as it’s awesome !!!
