2017 Opel Zafira Ad Campaign Launches With A Focus On Family

In Opel’s opening lines from the release, it states, “Family is cool, really cool.” Yes, yes it is, and with that opening line, which sounds like our mother trying to get hip, sets the tone for the 2017 Opel Zafira ad campaign.

The brand has launched its first foray into introducing Europeans to the latest multi-purpose vehicle, which features a focus on family. Naturally, the 2017 Zafira is up to the task when it comes to any family-fun activity.

The campaign stars Bettina Zimmermann and Kai Wiesinger, both well known for their casting in the German comedy web series “Der Lack ist ab” (The glamour has gone).

In the five spots, the 2017 Zafira is highlighted for its versatile interior space and 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity through Opel OnStar, such as when the daughter smuggles a feline friend home from a Spanish vacation. The reasoning? “We had plenty of seats free.”

“Our campaign held in the successful style of the web series ‘Der Lack ist ab’ highlights the innovations of the Zafira in an entertaining and humorous way. The Zafira is the car for family time: Versatile and a perfect companion thanks to OnStar with its Wi-Fi Hotspot and round the clock emergency service,” said Opel CMO Tina Müller.
