2017 Chevrolet Beat Spied In India Bulked Up On Camouflage

The Chevrolet Beat is an important vehicle in India, and it’s preparing for an all-new generation, according to IB Times.

Despite being covered up in camouflage, it’s likely the 2017 Chevrolet Beat will receive an updated front fascia and styling, likely to fall in line with current Chevrolet design globally.

The biggest news is in the powertrain department. Currently, the petrol-powered variant receives a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, but Chevrolet will reportedly replace it with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, no changes are expected to the current three-cylinder diesel engine.

As for North America, we wouldn’t bet on any substantial changes to the 2016 Chevrolet Spark. Mini cars are not in the sales driver as of recent, while crossovers, trucks and SUVs once again boom under low gasoline prices. For instance, the next-generation Chevrolet Sonic isn’t expected until 2020 at the earliest.
