2017 Cadillac CT6 Debuting In Japan, On Sale In October

Cadillac has been seeking attention from Japanese consumers as of recent. A handful of special edition Cadillacs have been introduced specifically for the Japanese market, and now the 2017 Cadillac CT6 will head to the land of the rising sun.

Cadillac invites locals to experience the 2017 CT6 in Hankyu Men’s Tokyo starting September 17 through September 23. The brand will host a special event for the CT6 and include personal time with the vehicle for those looking for a closer look at the latest Cadillac sedan. Specifically, a demo and viewing program will take place for the Bose Panaray sound system, which features 34 speakers inside the cabin.

Following the brand’s big shebang, the 2017 Cadillac CT6 will officially go on sale in the country in early October with the brand’s “Dare Greatly” campaign front and center for Japanese consumers.

  1. It’ll be interesting to read what the Japanese press has to say about Cadillac’s CT6 given how it’s about the same size as the Lexus LS460 while being almost a thousand pounds lighter especially when the Japanese were supposed to represent the leading edge in automotive technology.

  2. Will these be sold in Japan with RHD?

    1. No RHD on the Japan market CT6. Japanese are expected to just accept LHD for the coolness of a Cadillac. But in 5 or so years, Cadillac expects to be offering RHD cars again. Which is good, given that about 1/3rd of the world is RHD (including Japan, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand).
